"Life with God is not immunity from difficulties, but peace within difficulties." - C.S. Lewis

The peace of God truly does surpass all understanding. When I think about the story of Job, I can't even imagine what it was like for him to lose absolutely everything. But in the midst of the sufferings he didn't allow himself to curse God despite his agony and the false sense of "comfort" from those around him. He stayed faithful to God and because of this, God blessed him tenfold.

Let's look at James 1:2-4 "Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing."

Notice how it says "when troubles of any kind come your way". That means that the trials and tribulations of life are inevitable. They will come, but when they do, we must check our faith and attitudes. Will we allow our circumstances to dictate our level of faith in God? Will we choose joy and view troubles as an opportunity for God to be glorified? Will we allow our struggles to humble us so that we may gain more strength, wisdom and understanding?

I encourage you to allow His peace and joy to be your foundation throughout every season of life!

I love you and most importantly, Jesus loves you more! John 3:16 ♡
