Gods Presence

I love how God promises throughout His Word that He is with us. It's interesting that despite His constant reassurance, we still question and doubt whether that's true. I don't know about you but I can 100% vouch that God has been with me through the good and the bad. The only time that He "wasn't" was when I didn't acknowledge His presence. One of the many lessons that I see in the Bible is the importance of fixing our eyes on God especially in the midst of our trials and tribulations. The moment that we stop focusing on Him is the moment that our problems...

"When you are hanging on by a thread, make sure it's the hem of His garment."

I’m sure that we all know what it’s like to lose all hope but still with the little strength that we have, we continue to press on. Jesus has saved me from health issues, self-harm, and suicide more times than I can count and if it wasn’t for my faith in Him to carry me through, I wouldn’t be here today. Matthew 9:20-22 talks about how Jesus healed in response to faith. “Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe, for she thought, “If...

"Why are you looking for the living among the dead?"

I’ll never forget ministering the song Matthew 28 by Donald Lawrence & The Tri-City Singers with my sisters in Christ through praise dance on Resurrection Day Sunday years ago. (Shout out to The Dancing Angels! 💜) The song is about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and when He asked the question “Why are you looking for the living among the dead?” that gave me goosebumps! In verse 6 it also says “He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as He said would happen.” These verses alone should keep us encouraged knowing that we serve a Savior Who conquered death!...

"Don't worry, Sunday's coming."

"It's always darkest before the dawn." This quote reminds me of how everyone must've felt when Jesus took His last breath and was buried in a tomb (just as He said He would). Despite them knowing that He would indeed resurrect on the third day (just as He said He would), I'm sure they still experienced grief and anxiousness as they anticipated on the prophecy to be fulfilled. If you're in a season of waiting on Gods promise to come to pass, I encourage you to allow your security in Him to carry you through. Reflect on all the times God kept His...

"Though our feelings come and go, His love for us does not."

Above quote continued: "It is not wearied by our sins, or our indifference. And therefore, it is quite relentless in it's determination that we shall be cured of those sins, at whatever cost to us. At whatever cost to Him." One thing about God, regardless of what we do or how we feel, His character and Word doesn't change. I encourage you to allow God in His perfect wholeness to be your safe space. Allow yourself to be vulnerable with Him so that His love will fill those empty area and transform you from the inside out. Whenever I listen...
