"When you are hanging on by a thread, make sure it's the hem of His garment."

I’m sure that we all know what it’s like to lose all hope but still with the little strength that we have, we continue to press on. Jesus has saved me from health issues, self-harm, and suicide more times than I can count and if it wasn’t for my faith in Him to carry me through, I wouldn’t be here today.

Matthew 9:20-22 talks about how Jesus healed in response to faith. “Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe, for she thought, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, “Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment.”

I love this passage because despite the length of time that the woman has been suffering with this blood issue, she didn’t allow that to discourage her hope in getting healed. She took the initiative by not only walking in faith but also speaking out in faith.

In Luke 9:46 it says “But Jesus said, "Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me." Jesus felt her in the same way that Jesus feels when we are reaching out to Him. He saw her, just like how He sees us when we’re enduring suffering. It was through her faith that she was healed and God can do the same for us as well.

In saying that, healing looks different for everyone. God’s will for healing may not look like our expectations of healing but it doesn’t change the fact that He’s still a healer. Stay encouraged, don’t lose faith and don’t stop seeking after the Healer.

I love you and most importantly, Jesus loves you more! John 3:16 ♡
